Radio Configuration (Vivid‑Hosting VH‑109)
The VH‑109 Robot Radio from Vivid‑Hosting is the current FRC radio. This guide covers Ironclad’s recommended setup for events and practice.
1 Requirements
- FRC Game Tools installed
- VH‑109 powered (12 V / 2 A) via PDH/PDP or approved regulator
- Ethernet cable PC radio DS port
- VH‑109 firmware current for the season
2 Initial Setup (Robot Mode)
- Connect laptop radio DS port via Ethernet.
- Open the VH‑109 config UI (tool or
http://radio.local). - Select Robot mode, Team Number = 5847.
- (Optional) Set SSID suffix and WPA key for the practice network.
- Click Configure and wait for reboot.
Ironclad Standard
Use Robot/Bridge mode for competition and practice. Use AP mode only for demos at home.

Troubleshooting
